Challenge
After inspection was finished, staff still had to check progress, compile per-item information, find defect photos and attach them one by one to the daily report. None of it was complex, but as items and photos grew, building the report alone took a significant part of every day.
What we did
Rather than only automating the report, we started by mapping the whole inspection workflow.
- iOS / Android app — inspectors record progress, defect details and defect photos on the spot; nothing is re-entered later.
- Web admin panel — real-time inspection status per product code, with defect details and images in one place.
- Automatic reports — the daily report is generated from the data already in the system.
Results
Because what is recorded on-site becomes the report directly, the time spent on reporting dropped substantially. That time now goes to actual inspection and quality control.
What we learned
DX is often pictured as large systems or AI, but many projects start with a concrete complaint from the floor: "this task is painful every day." Removing one burden and connecting the data led to automated reporting, visible progress and centralised defect data.
